Inspiring the Next Generation at the AGC Dixie Tech Job Fair 2025

On October 23, Grass Creek Construction had the privilege of participating in the AGC Dixie Tech Job Fair, an event dedicated to connecting young talent with opportunities in the construction industry. This fair brings together local high schools and colleges, giving students the chance to meet businesses, explore career paths, and gain hands-on experience.

Connecting With Students Across All Ages

Hundreds of students attended from across southern Utah, ranging from high school freshmen to college level participants. Many visited our booth to learn about who we are, what we build, and how our team works together to create long lasting structures and strong community partnerships. Events like this help us share the future of construction with the next generation of builders, craftsmen, and leaders.

Hands On Activities That Bring Construction to Life

At our booth, students participated in a variety of interactive activities that introduced them to real jobsite skills while keeping things fun and engaging. They practiced using a tie gun while learning how concrete and rebar work together to create durable foundations. They also tried a nail and screw gun activity and learned proper hammering techniques. These experiences give young people a true feel for the tools and processes used every day on our projects.

Sharing Opportunities and Building Future Careers

Throughout the day, we spoke with hundreds of students about internships, apprenticeships, and the many different paths available in the construction field. We encouraged them to explore hands on careers and helped answer questions about what it takes to succeed in this industry. Many students were excited about what we do and some were even able to share their resumes with us for potential apprenticeship or internship opportunities.

Giving Back and Building Connections

To make the event memorable, we handed out hats, shirts, candy, prizes, and business cards. These take home items help students remember their experience and continue to explore future possibilities with Grass Creek Construction.

Lead Estimator

With 10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, Jeremy is a seasoned professional known for his meticulous attention to detail and comprehensive understanding of project cost analysis.

As the lead estimator, he plays a pivotal role in guiding the preconstruction phase, leveraging his expertise to accurately assess project requirements and develop competitive bids. As COO, KC is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and excellence in project execution. KC has a keen understanding of construction processes and a commitment to quality.

In addition, KC has a strong background in project management, resource optimization, and risk mitigation. He collaborates closely with the team to streamline workflows, enhance operational performance, and uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance.
